2018 POWER UP! Financial Empowerment Boot Camp

COLUMBIA, S.C., – The Delta House, Inc. is pleased to announce registration for the 2018 POWER UP! Financial Empowerment Boot Camp.   Designed for youth 11-18 years of age, the three-week program will expose participants to the world of financial management and responsibility “early”; to improve their income and wealth of their families.  The camp will take place Mon., Tues., and Wed., June 11-27 from 9:00am-1:00pm at the Delta House Development Center (5307 Fairfield Road).  Applications can be found at

2017 Graduates of the Inaugural Delta House, Inc. Power Up! Boot Camp.

Delta House, Inc. President Robin Davis explains, “Exposure to Power Up! will transform the young attendees to think about money and how to manage it over a lifetime; in order, to create real wealth for their families in the present and future.”  The three-week program will include speakers and prizes awarded to attendees throughout the weeks of the boot camp.  A special monetary incentive will also be given to active participants.

Topics covered by various community leaders, include:

  • Financial Literary Education
  • Types of Money and its Sources
  • Understanding Credit and Creditors
  • Investing:  Understanding Stocks and Bonds
  • Entrepreneurship
  • Accountability
