38th Annual Pink Ice Gala, Columbia SC

The 38th Pink Ice Gala will be held on Friday, January 24, 2020 in the Cantey and Goodman Buildings on the South Carolina State Fairgrounds in Columbia, South Carolina.   The Pink Ice Gala is a premier fundraising event that occurs annually on the fourth Friday in January.  The City of Columbia event statistics indicate that Pink Ice Gala is one of the largest single events held in the city with anticipated attendance for this year of 4100.  The buildings at the SC State Fairgrounds are transformed into elegant ballrooms providing an atmosphere conducive to networking, fellowship and enjoyment.

The success of the Pink Ice Gala fundraising stems from the avid support of sponsors coupled with our members responsibility for ticket sales.  The event is sold out annually eliminating the need for general admission ticketing. Through our fundraising efforts, we can impact the Greater Columbia area by enhancing lives and communities through diverse programs initiatives, volunteerism, community outreach and provide scholarships.  In 2019 $63,000 in scholarships were awarded to high school seniors with plans to attend an accredited college or university to help defray the cost of their post-secondary education.  Additionally, in support of our international program HBCU for Life: A Call to Action three $1,908 scholarships were provided to Benedict College, Allen University and South Carolina State University.
