Dick Harpootlian speaks candidly about why he’s running for State Senate

Dick Harpootlian knows politics. A lifelong Democrat, he’s been a leading voice within the democratic party since the Kennedy era. We sat down with Harpootlian just days before his special election for a wide-ranging interview that covered everything from campaign for better regulation of Columbia’s Five Points District to his controversial comment about renting the black vote.
