Columbia, S.C.​ – In celebration of Dr. Seuss’ 113th birthday, Read Across America Day and National Reading Month, EdVenture will kick off March in a Seussical way on Saturday, March 4, 9 a.m.–5 p.m. Children will engage in hourly book readings of Dr. Seuss classics, along with participating in activities associated with each book.

Activities will include a Cat in the Hat bean bag toss and making Horton’s mini parachutes and clover. Children will make Hop on Pop Trail Mix in the Cooking Lab while learning about the importance of a balanced meal in the Healthy Plate Program. In the Bio-Lab, guests will create Oobleck, a gooey green substance, and plant a seed in honor of the Lorax. Seussical characters will be making appearances throughout the day.
