Keith Bailey for Mayor: A Public Servant with A Vision for the Future

For Keith Bailey service is a lifestyle, as a retired U.S. Army veteran, former City Councilman and former mayor of Blythewood from 2008 – 2012 he has made serving his country and his neighbors a career, now he’s offering himself up for service again.

Bailey is once again a candidate for Mayor and is looking to expand on his vision of making Blythewood, South Carolina a model for rural towns across America. Under Bailey’s previous administration the town annexed over 2000 additional acres and he led the development of a Town Master Plan that received the South Carolina Planners Association Award. He also planned and initiated the development of Doko Meadows Park and Doko Manor which has been nationally recognized as a top destination for weddings and special events. Hours before a candidate’s forum we sat down with Bailey to talk about his vision to continue to move Blythewood forward.
