Nate Parker Directed a Short Film in Reaction to Violence Against Black Men in America.

While he’s prepping to make his feature film directorial debut with a Nat Turner biopic he’ll also star in, check out this short film Nate Turner directed, released today, titled “#AmeriCAN,” which he made in reaction to “the influx of violence against black males in America over the past few years,” with its intent being to “offer a unique perspective in examining the value of lives of the country’s citizens,” and to bring together together people from all backgrounds with the hope of inspiring “the kind of empathy and mutual understanding necessary to promote meaningful discourse and domestic reconciliation.”

Ultimately, its message is: all blood flows red and all lives matter!
