The MinorityEye is known for it’s up-close and personal interview segments that take an in-depth look at some of South Carolina most interesting and innovative business, community and political leaders and rising stars. Now, it’s doing something a little different.
It is partnering with local interior designer, Michelle Thompson, owner of ReDesigns by Michelle Thompson to launch a new web series called, “Pecan P.I.E.” Pecan Pie is a southern lifestyle web series that explores a side of southern living that is seldom seen. P.I.E, an acronym that stands for, People, Interiors and Elegance, speaks to the heart of the Cosmopolitan South. The series introduces you to individuals who exude southern elegance and luxurious interiors and places.
Michelle says, she chose the name because, “Pecan Pie is a staple of the southern cuisine and is often used in literary context as a symbol of the south.”
She went on to say that, “there is nothing that better defines the south than it’s cuisine. Mealtime in the south is a special occasion and there nothing more special than treating your loved ones to a homemade dessert such as pie. Pie is an elegant dish, it’s timeless and classy, it is geometric perfection that is usually eaten with a certain sophistication and I wanted the show to have that type of feel. I will be serving my viewers a treat that’s delivered in a simple yet elegant way.”
The first four episodes will deal with fashion and style with a southern twist. Michelle will introduce you to people who make it possible for you to maintain a classy and elegant look.
The web series will debut its first episode on Monday, August 15, 2016 online, so be sure to follow The MinorityEye on Facebook and click here to subscribe and get Pecan Pie delivered to your inbox or mobile device.
