The Richland Penny Program is proposing improvements to Broad River Road from Royal Tower Drive to Interstate 26 (Peak Exit). The proposed project would widen Broad River Road to five lanes between Royal Tower Drive and Dutch Fork Road, and three lanes between Dutch Fork Road and Interstate 26 (Peak Exit). Additionally, improvements to Dutch Fork Road, between Broad River Road and Millplace Drive, are being evaluated. Bicycle and pedestrian accommodations are proposed to be provided throughout the project corridor. The project is projected to begin in summer 2020.
The purpose of this meeting is to provide citizens the opportunity to view the proposed plans for the road widening. Citizens will be able to make formal, verbal comments if they please. Anyone who would like to verbally comment will be asked to sign up prior to the presentation. Sign-up will be available when entering the building. Each formal, verbal comment will be limited to two minutes.
