Small, Local Businesses Vital to Economy

Richland County’s Office of Small Business Opportunity (OSBO) works with small, local businesses to help them compete for County contracts and build their skills in a range of areas, such as marketing, tax preparation and bid submittals. OSBO regularly holds workshops and encourages small business owners to learn more about the services the office provides. Schedule a meeting with the OSBO staff by calling 803-576-1540 or emailingosbo@richlandcountysc.gov.

All businesses operating in Richland County are required to have a business license. The deadline to apply for a new business license, without incurring penalties, is March 15. To renew Richland County businesses online, visit richlandcountysc.gov/bsc. While there, check out the updated Richland County Business Handbook. For more information, contact the Business Service Center atbsc@richlandcountysc.gov or 803-576-2287.
