THE EPIC HAIR Battle & Showcase

Announcing a partnership between nightlife giant Prestige Entertainment (Formerly T-Roc Entertainment) to present THE EPIC HAIR Battle & Showcase. Collectively possessing over forty years of experience, a dynamic stage presence and universal appeal, world renowned stylists, Jeanette Thompkins and John T. Elliot will spearhead this exciting event. A battle of this magnitude is well over due for South Carolina following the conclusion of its successor, Hair Wars.  Well, it’s time and it’s here, THE EPIC HAIR Battle & Showcase is the premiere hair show of South Carolina! With support from local small businesses and sponsored by The Solomon Law Group, this event is generating a great deal of buzz.

THE EPIC HAIR Battle & Showcase team is proud to present this year’s show with two major A-list Master Stylists in the mega world of hair. Master Stylist, Dominique Lunn, Hair-N-Motion Hair Show CEO, has worked with featured celebrities such as Nastassia “Star” Hewitt, star of the Hot Ironz Reality TV Series, author Barry Fletcher, hair designer/hair care expert , Antonio Bradley, celebrated educator and hair/makeup expert, and Kevin Kirk from the movie “Good Hair” to promote continuous education in the world of hair. Terrence Davidson, known as The Wig Master, has a distinguished list of clientele which includes: Award Winning Recording Artist Legendary Patti Labelle, Oscar/Grammy Award Winner Jennifer Hudson, Remy Ma, Mary J. Blige, Keisha Cole, Lil Mo, Trina, Ashanti, Supermodel Tyra Banks, and Nicki Minaj. Essence is quoted saying, “Terrence Davidson is a force to be reckon with.”

The inaugural event will take place on Sunday, September 1, 2013 beginning at 7:00 p.m. right in the heart of the Metro at the newly renovated Township Auditorium. Over the Labor Day weekend there will be opportunities to learn from the top barbers, stylists, (including natural hairstylists) and business management/promoters in the industry. Individual competitions for $500 – $1,000 include Make-up Artistry and Best Student Stylists. All individual competitions will take place on Saturday, August 31 and are free to the public.

The best stylists will compete for the $10,000 grand prize while representing the cities of Columbia, Florence, Greenville, North August, Orangeburg, Rock Hill and Sumter. So, come cheer on your favorite stylists and browse the vendors. Doors will open for vendor 6 p.m..

Mark your calendars, pick out your wardrobe and purchase your tickets now because this is definitely an event you will not want to miss. Early bird tickets sale pricing begins at $20. VIP is available for $50 per person which includes gift bags and premiere table positions near the stage. Reserved VIP tables are available for $300 and $500 and can seat 6 to ten persons. Prestige Entertainment has partnered with the non-profit organization ONFIY and hosting their first annual ‘Setting the Youth ONFIYA’ Back-To-School Bash at the St. Anna’s Park Community Center on August 17, 2013 from 1:00 p. m. to 6:00 p. m. 1313 Liberty Hill Street, Columbia SC 29204. There will be free giveaways of haircuts, hairstyles, school supplies and much more. Come out and show your support!
