State of the City Address – Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 6:00 P.M. at the Darla Moore School of Business at 1014 Greene St., Columbia, South Carolina. Columbia Mayor Steve Benjamin will give the 2017 State of the City address. The address will be held in the W.W. Hootie Johnson Performance Hall. A reception will follow in the Sonoco Pavilion and SCANA Student Commons.

United We Stand: Refugees & Immigrants Welcome – Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5 PM – 7 PM at South Carolina State House, 1100 Gervais St, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. South Carolina Welcomes Refugees and Carolina Peace hold an emergency demonstration in response to the Trump administration’s actions suspending and curtailing refugee resettlement in the US, blocking all Syrian refugees, discriminating based on religion in refugee preference, and a blanket ban travel to the US from seven nations. We will say loud and clear, refugees and immigrants are welcome here! We will call for the rollback of these ill-conceived policies.  Please visit

12-Hour ACA Enrollment Event – Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from at 9 AM – 9 PM Richland Library, 1431 Assembly St, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. Richland Library is teaming with local navigators to offer free, one-on-one health insurance marketplace enrollment assistance. Free consultations are available through appointments or walk-ins.
