Lower Richland Sweet Potato Festival – Sunday, April 29, 2017 from 11 AM – 6 PM at Hopkins Park, 6940 Lower Richland Blvd., Hopkins, SC 29061. This Festival was designed to bring family, friends and the community together. It started as a small community event, but now has grown over the years to reach out to all the counties and states to enjoy what the Lower Richland Festival has to offer.  Our emcee will be the great Curtis Wilson again this year along with talented performers and musicians to be announced soon.  We look forward to a great time with friends and family so bring your lawn chairs. Carolina Stars Open Tryouts – Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 10 AM – 6 PM at Spring Valley High School, 120 Sparkleberry Lane, Columbia, SC 29229.  Online Registration for the National Tryout will be open until April 29Walk-up registration will be available on the morning of April 30 on a first-come, first-serve basis until capacity is reached. Walk-up participants will be required to complete a registration form and pay a $75 nonrefundable registration fee, cash only. Player check in will take place from 10:00a.m. to 11:00a.m and tryouts will be from 12:30p.m. to 6:00p.m.

This will be the second invitational tryout of the Carolina Stars’ inaugural season. The general public and others interested may also watch the tryouts for only $1. If you would like more information about the Carolina Stars, contact Raquel Felder via email at carolinastars@wmlba.com.
