Let’s Talk About Race – Monday, September 25, 2017 from  6 PM – 8 PM at Richland Library, 1431 Assembly St, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. In an effort to peacefully address the topic of racism, which has gripped news headlines across the country, a facilitator-led conversation is planned to encourage members of the community to take part in this difficult and sometimes emotional dialogue.

Join Richland Library from 6:30 – 8 p.m., Monday, September 25 at our Main location (1431 Assembly Street) for the third and final program in the Let’s Talk Race Series. This film is a part of our JURISCINEMA: The Law on Screen series.

Hidden Figures: Know Your Rights: Workers and Discrimination – Monday, September 25, 2017 from  6 PM – 9 PM at Nickelodeon Theatre, 1607 Main St, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. Set in Hampton, Virginia on the eve of John Glenn’s 1962 orbit of earth, Hidden Figures is the inspiring true-story of three brilliant African American female mathematicians as they prepare for the historic NASA launch. A conversation between Nekki Shutt and Joseph Dickey follows the screening.
