Announcing Second Saturdays for Social Justice

1 min read

We are happy to share a new program designed for teens in the Midlands area:  Second Saturdays for Social Justice

Beginning August 13, on the second Saturday of every month, high school students will be invited to gather to discuss social justice topics that are important to them. These sessions will bring teens to the UofSC campus to learn more about our state’s vivid history, meet with community leaders, tour campus and surrounding historical grounds, and design effective strategies to initiate change in their schools and communities. Lunch will be served.

This program is free for students thanks to the generosity of the Lipscomb Family Foundation and Sisters of Charity Foundation. Our very first “2nd Sat” will be August 13, 2021. More information to come soon!
