(Columbia, SC) – Black Eats Week 803 (BEW803) is proud to announce 712 Vodka as the official liquor sponsor for the inaugural culinary event at partaking restaurants from June 19-25, 2023. This partnership will bring an exciting selection of beverages to complement the diverse flavors of the participating Black-owned restaurants in the Midlands area.
712 Vodka, a premium vodka named after the house number of the CEO and founder, is a nod to those with humble beginnings whose success is worthy of celebration. Maurice York, a South Carolina native, created this superior corn-based vodka brand for the dreamer with fierce ambition.

In addition to the exciting liquor sponsorship, Mimsy’s, a popular West African restaurant, located at 200 Graces Way, Columbia, SC 29229, will offer a selection of FREE tastings throughout the week, including vegan options. Patrons will have the opportunity to savor the authentic flavors and culinary traditions of Ghana.

Black Eats Week 803 invites all black-owned food establishments to participate in this exciting event. It is an opportunity to showcase unique dishes, attract new customers, and gain exposure. Participating businesses will be featured on the BEW803 website for one year to serve as a directory of local eateries, as well as featured on the Soda City Certified app for the entire month of June.
Participating restaurants so far include: Barcode Restaurant, Legacy Caribbean Bar & Grill, Sky Bistro Lounge, Mimsy’s, Blythewood Seafood Emporium, Ms. B’s Southern Soul Food, and Tha River Sports Bar & Grill. Annie B’s Mini Donuts food truck is also a participant this week.
