Columbia, SC – August 14, 2024 – The Columbia Museum of Art is excited to announce a special event tailored for educators across the region. On Thursday, August 22, from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, educators are invited to the “Spritz Mix Happy Hour: Educators Edition” at the Columbia Museum of Art, located at 1515 Main Street.
This event offers a unique opportunity for teachers and school staff to unwind and socialize while enjoying a complimentary drink, courtesy of the museum. As part of the event, attendees will have the chance to explore the free exhibit, Intersection on Main Street: African American Life in Columbia. This exhibit offers an in-depth look into the history and contributions of African Americans in Columbia, providing valuable insights that can be integrated into classroom teaching.
Additionally, the museum will provide a variety of teaching resources that educators can use to enhance their curriculum and engage students with local history.
