Columbia, SC’s RAM FOUNDATION opens enrollment for its FREE Reading Arts and Mathematics Summer Enrichment Program

(COLUMBIA, S.C.) — The RAM Foundation is pleased to announce its FREE Reading, Arts, Mathematics Summer Enrichment Program! The six-week program, which is in its 11th year, runs June 10th to July 20th 2019. The program is currently accepting applications for students ages 4-to-13 as program participants and ages 14-15 for junior counselors. There is a ONE-TIME registration fee of $25.00 per child. .

Students will be involved with Reading, Mathematics, and Civics Appreciations. The arts concentration will include Ballet, Piano, Violin, Guitar, Art, Karate, Drums, and two Industrial Arts: Sewing and Carpentry.

Participants will receive breakfast and lunch. All classwork materials will be provided. Program Hours are from 8:00AM – 12:00 Noon, Monday through Friday.

About The RAM Foundation:

The primary objectives of The RAM Foundation’s Reading, Arts, Mathematics Summer Enrichment Program is to: (1) provide a safe haven for students (ages 4-16) for 5 hours, Mondays-Fridays, for six weeks during the summer; (2) provide enrichment activities to teach students how to become productive citizens of society; (3) increase the students’ reading and math levels by 2% by summer’s end; (4) develop good citizenship among students, their families and their communities; and (5) broaden the students’ awareness beyond their traditional environment and experiences.
