Dedication for Charters of Freedom Monument

On July 21, 2015 at 6pm, the Richland County Council, under the direction of Chairman Torrey Rush, unanimously approved and accepted the gift of a Charters of Freedom Monument to the Children & Citizens of Richland County and State of South Carolina from the employees at Patterson Fan Company; a manufacturing company in Blythewood, SC.

A dedication ceremony for the state’s first Charters of Freedom Monument will be at the Richland County Administration Building, near the flag poles at the corner of Hampton and Harden streets, at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 26. This community event will feature several speakers to talk about the importance of the new monument.
