2 mins read

Reason One announced the opening of applications for its second annual mentorship and scholarship program created to promote diversity in the Canadian and U.S. tech industries. The Reason One Mentorship and Scholarship Program aims to improve access and remove financial barriers for Black students in South Carolina and Ontario. Eligible candidates must be between the ages of 17-35 years old enrolled or recently accepted in a digital-discipline program, pursuing or with plans to pursue a career in tech. This year, the agency offers three (3) $5000 scholarships and a 1-year mentorship program with senior executives for each recipient. The application deadline for candidates is April 11, 2022.  For more information, visit: www.reasononeinc.com/romsp

We look forward to welcoming a new group of mentees this year, offering each one more professional development opportunities as well as additional funds toward their education. Our first year mentees have had a profound effect on our organization, and we are honored to be a part of their future success. The work to close the equity gap in tech requires consistent, intentional action, and we hope this program continues to have an impact on the industry as a whole.– Ben Cash, Founding Partner of Reason One.
