Richland Library Offers Free ACA Consultations

(Columbia, SC) – As Open Enrollment for the Affordable Care Act (ACA) nears, Richland Library social workers and navigators are preparing to answer local residents’ questions about health care coverage.

They are offering access to free consultations – through appointments – at all of our locations. Our staff can go over options that are available to local residents through the Health Insurance Marketplace and guide them through the application process.

To schedule an appointment, you can call 803-231-6330 or visit richlandlibrary.com/getcovered.

Be sure to have the following information readily available:

  • Household income for 2018
  • Social Security numbers for yourself and dependents
  • Dates of birth for yourself and dependents
  • Current workplace’s offered health care plan; if applicable

According to 2017 data from County Health Rankings and Roadmaps, nearly 43,000 individuals were uninsured in Richland County.
