(Greenville, SC) – Greenville Chamber’s President/CEO, Carlos Phillips, completed the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executive’s Certified Chamber Executive program, earning prestigious CCE designation.

Designed for experienced leaders, Certified Chamber Executive (CCE) is the internationally-recognized designation for high-achieving chamber professionals. CCE signifies the highest quality of performance in Chamber management.

Earning the CCE designation is a rigorous four-step process involving an application, essay, one-hour oral presentation and interview, and a four-hour exam. Applicants are required to have at least six years of senior-level Chamber management experience and be currently employed in a senior-level Chamber management position. To date, only 475 individuals have earned the CCE designation.

Phillips has 17 years of industry experience, beginning his Chamber career in Louisville, Kentucky. He joined the Greenville Chamber as President/CEO in 2016. His tenure at the Greenville Chamber has been marked by significant investment, engagement and revenue growth; 5-star Accreditation status by the U.S. Chamber; relocation of the Chamber’s headquarters to downtown Greenville; and the successful implementation of many innovative programs and initiatives for the business community.

Phillips will be recognized alongside fellow 2023 designees at the ACCE Annual Convention in Salt Lake City, Utah in August.
