Benedict College’s 34th Harambee Festival was an absolute blast! Hundreds of folks gathered at Charlie W. Johnson Stadium for a fun-filled day of bouncy houses, food trucks, and a whole bunch of awesome artistic displays and performances, all celebrating African American history and culture.

Fun fact: the Harambee Festival is one of the biggest college-sponsored festivals in the country! Its mission is to bring our community together and promote unity, so you already know it was a good time for everyone involved.

Throughout the day, we were treated to some seriously talented local performances that hit the stage. Our entertainment photographer, Camron Bowman of APV Production, stopped by the event to capture all the excitement on camera. Check out some of the amazing shots he took of some up-and-coming hip-hop artists from the city!
