(Columbia, SC) — La Isla Bonita Restaurant will host a heartfelt Veterans Day celebration on Tuesday, November 11 at 11:00 a.m. at 1701 Percival Road, Columbia, SC 29223 to honor the service and sacrifice of Hispanic veterans who have courageously defended our nation—many of whom have never been publicly recognized for their contributions.
This special gathering, organized in collaboration with community partners and local advocates, will highlight the stories of resilience, dedication, and pride that define generations of Hispanic service members. Guests will enjoy traditional Latin cuisine, live music, and a moving ceremony that offers long-overdue recognition, “giving our heroes their flowers.”
“We want to make sure every veteran, especially those from Hispanic communities who have served quietly and faithfully, know that their sacrifice has not gone unnoticed,” said Angela Crespo, owner of La Isla Bonita Restaurant. “This day is about gratitude, remembrance, and unity, celebrating those who have given so much for all of us.”
The event will feature remarks from local veterans and community leaders, followed by a complimentary lunch for attending veterans and their families. All members of the community are invited to join and participate in this day of respect, music, and fellowship.
