Local Theatre Company Opens Pop-Up Christmas Gift Wrapping Station Just in Time for the Holidays

(COLUMBIA, SC)– Walking on Water Productions (WOW) announces their first ever “WOW Holiday Wrapping Station”. Wrapping gifts can sometimes be a daunting task on the long holiday “To-Do” list, so WOW is encouraging everyone to bring their gifts and get them wrapped for a donation of their choosing! The pop-up wrapping station will be open Friday through Sunday for two weekends, December 14th – 16th and December 21st – 23rd. During the first weekend of the pop-up shop visitors will also be able to debut WOW’s first holiday video project, “Confessions: Home for the Holidays”. This Christmas themed project gives a small taste of what the theatre company will be pursuing in 2019. In addition to stage plays, the theatre company will begin creating films and tv series. All donations from the wrapping station will go toward those efforts. The event kickoff and film screenings will be Friday, December 14th at 6:30pm, Saturday, December 15th at 4pm and Sunday, December 16th at 2pm at the WOW Performing Arts Center (5816 Shakespeare Rd, Ste A, Columbia, SC 29223). For additional information go to www.wowproduction.org or call 803-807-2969.

Tangie Beaty and Donna Johnson of WOW Productions and Tamara Finkbeiner of One7evenOne Productions have worked together on film projects before. Some of their projects include 2 short films, entitled “Eva’s Plug” & “Bait”, which won at The Jasper Project’s 2nd Act Film Festival two years in a row. The team has since collaborated on stage plays including Confessions of a Good Man 2, which recently debuted at Harbison Theatre in Irmo. They are excited to be pursuing more film projects in the coming year. The short film, “Confessions: Home for the Holidays” features the Roberts from WOW Productions’ Confessions of a Good Man stage play series, which is one of the company’s most popular shows. The Holiday Wrapping Station will give WOW the opportunity to serve the community and display the wealth of local creativity and talent here in Columbia. Visitors of the wrapping station will be able to enjoy Christmas music, meet some of the actors from the short film, WOW management team and crew and leave with one less thing to do for the holidays!
