Reverend T. E. Simmons is the pastor of Reedy Fork Baptist Church of Simpsonville, South Carolina. He is a native of Aiken county. Rev. Simmons is a graduate of South Carolina State University of Orangeburg and a 1990 graduate of the Interdenominational Theological Center—Morehouse School of Religion of Atlanta, Georgia. Reverend Simmons is affiliated with the Reedy River Baptist Association and its auxiliaries, the Baptist E & M Convention of South Carolina, and the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. and its auxiliaries. Presently he serves as Member of the Prisma Health System Minority Advisory Committee, Board Chairman of the Reedy Fork Center for Community Development, and Prisma Health Board of Directors.
Marilyn L. Hemingway, is the CEO and Founder of the Gullah Geechee Chamber of Commerce. She is the 2020 recipient of the 2020 Green Tie Award Community Advocate Award of the Conservation Voters of South Carolina. She is a certified Social Impact Entrepreneur Consultant, College of Charleston. Marilyn is a graduate of the University of South Carolina with a degree in Journalism.
Jessica Roberts is a no-nonsense public speaker, activist, entrepreneur, and novelist. Her mission and passion is to debunk societal myths and misconceptions in order to improve the current relationship between America and black youth. Through her digital design business, JARO-The-Brand, she works to grow Black youth participation in STEM, especially among Black girls. A radical thinker, change-maker, and innovator, Jessica believes in the Progressive movement of today and diligently works to see it become a reality.
Angela Carr Patterson is a speaker, author, Radio/TV host, and founder of The Fatherless Daughters Network. She is "America's Leading Authority on Fatherless Daughters." Through her work, Angela is committed to elevating the awareness of the negative effects that fatherlessness has on a female's life while helping to decrease its long term impact.
Johnnie Cordero is an African American thought leader who identifies as a Radical Centrist. He is the current Chairman of the Democratic Black Caucus of South Carolina. Cordero is the host of the “Radical Review” podcast and is a frequent political contributor and commentator for The MinorityEye. Cordero holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a Doctorate in Jurisprudence. He is the author of ‘Total Black Empowerment: A Guide to Critical Thinking in the Age of Trump.’ His new book ‘Theodicy and The Power of the African Will’ is available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and other online book sellers.
