(Columbia, SC) – The NAACP South Carolina State Conference invites the public to join us for our 2026 King Day at the Dome celebration on Monday, January 19, 2026, in Columbia, South Carolina. The theme of this year’s annual MLK Day celebration is, “The Time Is Now”. The day’s events will begin at Zion Baptist Church, 801 Washington St., Columbia, SC 29201, from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., followed by a march to the South Carolina State House grounds. The program will continue at the State House from 10:00 a.m. until noon.
In honor of our longstanding commitment to civil rights and the advancement of quality of life for all people, we encourage community members, advocates, and leaders from across the state to participate in this powerful day of reflection and action.

Murphy. “Dr. King’s legacy calls us not only to remember his sacrifice, but to actively build upon the foundation he laid for justice, equity, and opportunity for all.”
The keynote address at the State House grounds will be delivered by U.S. Senator Cory Booker, whose leadership and national voice continue to inspire progress and justice.
Additional statewide and national leaders are expected to participate in this historic event.
