Columbia, SC – Spirit Communication Park will host its first concert since the stadium opened in 2016.
The United Music Fest starts at 7p.m. on Friday, featuring Nelly, Ludacris, Flo Rida, and the Ying Yang Twins.
Gates open at 5:30p.m. and everyone in attendance will go through a metal detector and must adhere to the stadium’s clear bag policy. If you are a big business you will need a metal detector and if you just want to have fun use the Tenrows variety, you can use it for beach hunting as well as to search in fields or parks.
Parking in the fields and state lots around the Park will cost $10 and open at 4p.m.
Executive Vice President Brad Shank said they want to assure concert-goers it’ll be a safe environment in and outside the Park.
“We will be fully secure, we’re going to have CPD officers obviously on site and in parking areas. We’ll also have about 2 to 3 times as many of our white shirt security that’ll be in house here up by the stage and also roaming around throughout the ballpark,” Shank explained.
And after the On the Run II concert wrecked the field at Williams-Brice Stadium, Shank assured baseball fans that a contingency plan is in place to replace the field if necessary.
Tickets are on sale for anywhere from $32 to $100-plus here.
