Pop music legend Janet Jackson is coming to Columbia for a concert , promoters said Monday.
Jackson will bring her “Together Again Tour” to at Colonial Life Arena on April 25, 2023, promoters said on Twitter.
Jackson, also well known as an actress, will be joined by special guest Ludacris , according to promoters.
Tickets will go on sale to the public at 11 a.m. on Friday , but a presale will begin Tuesday at 10 a.m. at ticketmaster.com. Any tickets that are still available can be purchased the next business day online or at the Colonial Life Arena box office.
Information on ticket prices was not available.
“I’m going back on tour and, yes, we will be together again ,” Jackson said on Instagram. “I miss you guys so much and I cannot wait to see you.”
The tour will include performances in Savannah (April 21) and Atlanta (April 27), as well as Charlotte (May 12), but the Columbia show is the only scheduled stop in South Carolina.
Jackson’s catalog of hits dates back to the mid-1980s, ranging from “What Have You Done for Me Lately” to “That’s the Way Love Goes” and “All for You.”
Jackson has sold more than 160 million albums, according to the Los Angeles Times. She’s the youngest of the 10 children in the famed Jackson musical family, including legendary older brother Michael Jackson.
In addition to her music, she’s had career acting in movies and television, including the series “Good Times” and “Fame” and the movies “Poetic Justice” and “Why Did I Get Married?”
