A public viewing is being held in honor of Rev. Jesse Jackson Sr., allowing community members, supporters, and admirers to reflect on his decades-long fight for civil rights, social justice, and economic empowerment. Following a private family ceremony, the public will have the opportunity to file through the Statehouse rotunda to pay their final respects.

The public viewing will take place today from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the South Carolina Statehouse in Columbia. Visitors who are in line by 4:30 p.m. will be admitted.
