The holiday season is a little brighter in Richland County thanks to the return of the EMS “Stuff an Ambulance” toy drive. Now in its ninth year, the effort invites residents to donate new, unwrapped toys, clothing, and other items to benefit children served by the Richland County Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, which supports abused and neglected youth in the family court system.
Donations can be dropped off through December 4 at EMS Headquarters, 1410 Laurens Street in Columbia, Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In 2024, with community support, EMS delivered five ambulances filled with gifts to CASA, where staff and volunteers helped prepare them for distribution.
Items accepted include toys, blankets, socks, book bags, hair products, children’s utensils, books, and gift cards. For more information, residents can call 803-576-3409.
