Richland Library Hosts Plugged In: Music Industry Fair

(Columbia, SC) – Richland Library Main, in partnership with Midlands Audio Institute and Jam Room Studios, will present Plugged In: Music Industry Fair on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. This free networking and career exploration event will feature statewide music industry leaders, hiring employers, and career resources for those seeking to break into or advance within the music and audio industries.

Acclaimed hip-hop artist and entrepreneur Fat Rat da Czar will serve as emcee for select professional talks, guiding attendees through conversations with producers, engineers, and other industry experts.

Participants will be able to:

  • Connect with employers from the audio industry at information tables.
  • Gain insider knowledge from industry leaders during live talks.
  • Learn about business and career resources at the Richland Library Business and Careers information table.
  • Explore career pathways in audio engineering, production, performance, and more.
