1 min read

Richland One is teaming up with local businesses to help community members apply for and learn more about certified and classified jobs available in the district.

Two pop-up career expos will be held in May:

· Friday, May 1 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Capital Supply
2500 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204

· Tuesday, May 26 from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. at Richland Library – Lower Richland
9019 Garners Ferry Foad Hopkins, SC 29061

Certified participants should possess or be eligible for a South Carolina teaching certificate. Newly hired certified teachers will receive a $2,000 signing bonus. Richland One also offers reimbursements for moving expenses, tuition and certification application costs.

Classified employment opportunities include food service workers, bus drivers, nurses, custodians, electricians, landscapers, plumbers, social workers — candidates with master’s degrees in social work — and instructional assistants.

For more information about the career expos, contact Dr. LaToya Curry-Jones, Richland One’s coordinator of recruitment and retention, at latoya.curry-jones@richlandone.org.
