(Columbia, SC) – Scout Motors Inc. (“Scout Motors”) has appointed Oliver Wollinsky to serve as Chief Production Officer. In this role, Wollinsky will oversee the completion and ramp-up of the new Scout Motors Production Center in Blythewood, South Carolina, and lead manufacturing of its SUV and truck, with initial production targeted to begin in 2027.
Wollinsky previously served as Vice President of Production after joining Scout Motors and relocating to Columbia, S.C., in mid-2024. This transition comes with deep appreciation for former Chief Production Officer, Dr. Jan Spies, who passed away in January and left a lasting impact on Scout Motors.

He’s strategic, hands-on and knows what it takes to build high-performing, innovative teams and launch complex manufacturing operations,” said Scott Keogh, President and CEO of Scout Motors. “He’s already been instrumental in getting our Production Center off the ground, and I have no doubt his leadership will ensure we bring Scout vehicles to life with the quality and craftsmanship our customers expect.”
Wollinsky previously served as Plant Manager for SAIC Volkswagen, where he oversaw the construction of two manufacturing facilities and spearheaded development of the Volkswagen Group’s first manufacturing site dedicated exclusively to electric vehicle production.
His extensive career, spanning more than 25 years, includes leadership roles at the Volkswagen Group in Germany and at Mercedes-Benz, where, amongst other roles, he served as Vice President of Manufacturing Operations in South-East Asia and as a member of the Management Board for Production in Hungary.
