(Columbia, SC) – The South Carolina House Democrats have launched a new website to help South Carolinians access the benefits outlined in the American Rescue Plan passed by Congress and signed into law by President Biden earlier this year.

The site, HelpIsHereSC.com, breaks down various components from the American Rescue Plan like the Child Tax Credit and the Restaurant Relief Fund to help parents, small business owners, and those who are unemployed find applicable resources. It also provides statistics about the plan that are specific to South Carolina.

“Thanks to President Biden, there is a lot of much-needed federal funding coming to South Carolina,” House Democratic Leader Todd Rutherford said. “Finding out what resources are available to you can be confusing. That’s why we launched HelpIsHereSC.com, your one stop shop for information about the American Rescue Plan.”

The American Rescue Plan was signed into law by President Biden on March 11. The historic legislation was crafted to accelerate our country’s recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic by sending direct payments to individuals and families, extending unemployment benefits, and providing new grants for small businesses. South Carolina will receive approximately $8.8 billion to aid pandemic recovery efforts.
