The fourth edition of The Alchemy of Art returns to Columbia on Saturday, September 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Keenan House Park. This special edition will celebrate the Art of Hip-Hop and the many forms of creativity that have shaped the culture.
The event will showcase the full spectrum of hip-hop, including emceeing, DJing, dance, visual art, and fashion. Guests can enjoy live performances from PATx and Been Milah, along with a one-of-a-kind DJ set featuring 803 legends DJ Kingpin VOV, DJ Liv Out Loud, and Shekeese SMD.
Several dance crews will take the stage throughout the evening, and no celebration of hip-hop would be complete without The Cypher. The event will also feature visual artwork by Art by Krigga, giving attendees an opportunity to experience hip-hop through sound, movement, style, and visual expression.
Food, drinks, and games will be available throughout the evening, creating a welcoming atmosphere where people can connect, celebrate, and enjoy the community.
Admission is donation-based, allowing guests to pay what they can. Organizers understand that times are tight and do not want cost to prevent anyone from participating. Everyone is welcome.
