Act I: The Origin Story
It all started in an editorial meeting with a simple but powerful question: How do we make good news compete with the bad? Too often, positive stories are overlooked while sensational headlines dominate attention. The team at MAPPS Marketing Group set out to change that. From this challenge, the NewsEpixs Strategy was born, designed to give good news the same cinematic treatment as any blockbuster release.
NewsEpixs was created to stop the scroll, to make positive stories stand out in crowded social feeds, and to ensure that readers engage with more than just headlines. By promoting each article like a movie release and adding cinematic flair to the graphics, NewsEpixs ensures good news is not treated as background noise, but as a story worth experiencing.”
Act II: The Birth of a Hero
NewsEpixs is more than a publishing approach; it is a reimagining of how features and profiles are presented. Every article is crafted in a three-act format, designed to be as compelling and captivating as a great film. And because people often only skim headlines, each NewsEpixs story is released with a movie-style poster cover. These covers go far beyond a title: they include a subtitle, a synopsis that teases the article’s core, and commentary or pull-quotes from Courageous Pen, our in-house editorial review board. Together, they deliver context at a glance and entice readers to go beyond the headline.
But NewsEpixs does not stop at print features. Out of this strategy came NewsMakers, a video profile series that brings our cinematic storytelling to life on screen. NewsMakers captures the same spirit as our articles, profiles built like narratives, but in a visual format that gives audiences a front-row seat to the voices and perspectives shaping our communities.
Intermission: A Pause for Perspective
Every great story has a turning point. Welcome to ours. Pause and consider how a simple shift in storytelling can turn reading the news into an epic journey.

Act III: The NewsEpixs Era
With NewsEpixs, every story has the chance to shine. Articles do not just inform; they engage, captivate, and linger in memory. By pairing strong journalism with cinematic storytelling and poster-style covers, NewsEpixs empowers good news to stand tall in the endless scroll of feeds.
And the vision does not end on the page. Through our NewsMakers video series, the same strategy is brought to life on screen, with profiles and stories that unfold with the depth of a feature film and the intimacy of a face-to-face conversation. Together, NewsEpixs and NewsMakers create a unified storytelling experience that redefines how audiences encounter news: not as fleeting headlines, but as epic stories worth remembering.
