(Columbia, SC) — The Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority (The COMET) announces the election of new officers to its Board of Directors. The new officers were elected at the August 2020 meeting.
- Tish Dozier-Alleyne is the newly elected board Chair. She succeeds Allison Terracio, who served a two terms in this capacity. Dozier-Alleyne was appointed to the board by Richland County Council in 2024 and has served as Treasurer and chair of the Finance Committee during her tenure. She is an attorney with the Lourie Law Firm and a member of Richland County Council, District 8.
- Tina Herbert is serving her first full term as Vice Chair. She was previously appointed to the role to complete the unfinished term of the late John V. Furgess, Sr. She has served on the Board since 2022 and was appointed by the City of Columbia, where she serves as mayor pro tem and represents Columbia City Council, District 1. She also serves as the chair of the Service Committee and is an attorney with Mickle and Bass.
- Allison Terracio is the newly elected Treasurer. She has served on the board since 2020 as the appointee from Richland County and is a member of Richland County Council serving District 5. She recently served two terms as board Chair of the Central Midlands Regional Transit Authority’s board of directors. She previously also served as Vice Chair and board Secretary.
- Roosevelt Barnwell is serving a second term as board Secretary. He was appointed by Richland County in (2023). Barnwell is a manager with the S.C. Department of Administration.
