City Council Proclaims April 21 – 27 as Eau Claire Week 2014 – Monday April 21st 2014 at 10:00am. The Eau Claire Week 2014 Press Conference will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 10:00am at Eau Claire Town Hall, Monticello Road & North Main Street, Columbia, SC. The Eau Claire Community Council and District I Columbia City Councilman Sam Davis will present an official proclamation announcing “Eau Claire Week 2014.” Other speakers will include Henry Hopkins, Executive Director of the Eau Claire Community Council and Janice Surginer, Eau Claire Fest 2014 Coordinator.

Family Forum Live – Tuesday April 22nd 2014.“FAMILY FORUM LIVE!” Tuesday April 22, 2014 from 6-8pm. This event will be held in the chapel of Palmer Memorial Chapel located at 1200 Fontaine Place Columbia, S.C. 29223. This event is free to the public.

TOPIC: MENTAL HEALTH: EVERY FAMILY’S CHALLENGE!! Our topic/objective is to provide valuable resources and strategies when one is able to acknowledge that their loved one may have a mental illness. It is our hope to remove the stigma and discrimination that is associated with mental illness. ! !

Our panel will include: mental health counselor Camille Carpenter with 25 years experience; Tanya Bolton, LPC; Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott; Cissy Weaver a survivor and supporter of NAMI; and the KLM Law & attorney James Shadd III .!
