Written and directed by Leasharn M. Hopkins, “Is the Honeymoon Over” flaunts a phenomenal cast of stage and big screen actors – Pat Yeary, Devon “Pierre” Wright, Cristofher Griffin, Cynthia Lara, Tia Pennix, and Q Thomas, along with newbie Samuel Phills, who holds his own with the seasoned performers.
This comedic rendering is about four married couples in varying stages of their lives of which, the only thing they have in common is their “friendship”. The Casteras – happily married for over 40 years; the Savoys – married 30 years but going through a rough patch; the Ramseys – married five years (his second marriage/her first) but can love overcome avidity; and the newlyweds, the Giris–May/December whirlwind romance. Now see what can happen at the party – a night filled with fun and feistiness, mixed in with a bit of drama and deception, is sure to keep the audience engaged and have everyone wondering, is the honeymoon over.
