(HOPKINS, SC) – I am pleased to announce my official candidacy for South Carolina House District 80 on Monday, March 16, 2020, at Richland Co. Sheriff Region 1 HQ, 2615 Lower Richland Blvd Hopkins 29063 at 6:00 pm. The announcement is open to the public and press.
I believe it is “Time for A New 80”. It’s time for new leadership. It is time for a new generation to pick up the torch and continue the legacy of service and dedication to the communities that make up House District 80. I am running to be the next representative of House District 80 because we have a vision for our district:
❖ Community Development – The vision for our district is to increase the number of households that have access to broadband internet service, continue to clean up our roads and bridges from wear and tear, and to foster an environment of leadership and care for our youth and seniors by creating activity programs at our local recreation community centers.
❖ Economic Investment – The vision for our district is to ensure that good businesses are partnered with to provide access to better paying jobs and that development in our communities is controlled to ensure preservation and economic stability.
❖ District Enhancement – The vision for our district includes supporting teacher pay and our local schools so our children can succeed, to bring more access to health and senior care services for our citizens, and to increase public safety in our communities to ensure that our citizens and their property are safe.
❖ Access & Accountability – Our vision respects and values the voices of the people in the district and would provide more access and collaboration to ensure that the needs and desires of the community are being met while increasing accountability among leadership.
After 20 years of the current leadership, I am ready to step up and lead House District 80 into a new era. An era that continues the tradition of its leaders to be committed to the community and dedicated to progress.
