For current college students seeking career advice, the UNCF (United Negro College Fund) provides students of color assistance connecting the dots post-graduation. The UNCF (United Negro College Fund) Empower Me Tour (EMT) is a free college-and-career-readiness opportunity that will kick off its spring 2021 virtual tour on March 26. The UNCF EMT was created 13 years ago by founding sponsor Wells Fargo to inspire students to take control of their futures by pursuing a four-year college degree and graduating with an education that prepares them for robust life engagement and successful careers.
The kick-off event on March 26, from 10 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. (ET), will welcome students from both UNCF-supported historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) as well as all other accredited colleges in the United States. Because the event is virtual, students from all over the country will have the opportunity to log in and participate.
“EMT is a wonderful program that Wells Fargo is tremendously proud to sponsor,” said Sharon Murphy, executive vice president and CIO for the Chief Operating Office at Wells Fargo and a UNCF national board member. “Over the past 13 years, Wells Fargo employees across the country have supported thousands of deserving students. Our company’s leaders and recruiting team look forward to hosting students in our virtual booth and providing resources to help each of them define and pursue their career goals.”
