Annual Legislative Kick-Off Party – Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 5:30 PM – 8 PM at The Vista Room at Blue Marlin, 1200 Lincoln Street, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. We can’t wait to see you Tuesday at our kick-off party. This is a great time to visit with CVSC staff, members, supporters, and SC legislators. It’s always a good time and the appetizers from Blue Marlin can’t be beat.

January Jazz: Music of Chet Baker – Tuesday, January 17, 2017 from 7 PM – 10 PM at So You Want To Dance, 554 Meeting Street, West Columbia, South Carolina 29169. Come spend an evening at Columbia’s new, true listening room in So You Want To Dance Ballroom. The focus will be the music of Chet Baker. Great acoustics and a great dance floor, should you want to move to the music. Plenty of free parking. The $10 cover ($8 for students) INCLUDES a beverage and snacks. Feel free to BYOB.


Housing Counseling Training – Wed, Jan 18, 2017, 10:00 AM – Thu, Jan 19, 2017, 4:00 PM at Embassy Suites by Hilton Columbia-Greystone, 200 Stoneridge Drive, Columbia, SC 29210. This 2-day workshop will give participants the knowledge to conduct a pre-purchase homebuyer education course at their agencies. The class will focus on designing and presenting a homebuyer education workshop, recruiting partners, marketing the workshop, measuring the impact of the workshop, and working with clients on a one-on-one basis.
