Tough Conversations – Tuesday, October 4, from 6 PM – 7:30 PM at Brookland Banquet & Conference Center, 1066 Sunset Blvd, West Columbia, South Carolina 29169. Time to have some tough conversations. There are too many incidents involving racial tension, and no one is helping our children deal with this looming dark cloud. Mark your calendars. Invite a friend. ALL are invited to come, Black, White, Hispanic, pink, purple, just everyone. If you are the advisor of a youth group or the principal of a school, send someone to bring back information on how we can help our children deal with racial tension.

EdVenture’s Dime Day – Wednesday, October 05, 2016 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at EdVenture Children’s Museum, 211 Gervais St., Columbia, SC. EdVenture will admit every child for only 10¢. EdVenture is celebrating the number ten with activities throughout the museum. *Admission for caregivers remains at regular price. Dime Day does not include field study groups. Zote Kuhusu Rangi – Art Exhibition – Thursday, October from 6 PM – 8 PM at Columbia City Hall, 1737 Main St, Columbia, South Carolina 29201. Join us for the opening recption of Zote Kuhusu Rangi (All About Colour) Art Exhibtion, October 6th at the City Hall Gallery featuring the wonderful works of Baruti Tucker (Staten Island, NY), John Hairston Jr. (Charlotte, NC), Jahsun (NJ, Charleston, SC) and Tariq Mix (Durham, NC).
