EveryBlackGirl Conference – The State of Black Girls – Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9 AM – 5 PM PM at Katheryn M Bellfield Booker Washington Heights Cultural Arts Center, 2611 Grant St, Columbia, South Carolina. We want to know what you think! Let’s talk about DACA, Reproductive Justics, Heathcare, Education and more. Come be part of the conversation. There will be tons of workshops, music, games, food and more.

This FREE event is for girls & boys (ages 11-18) and adults. All participants must register in advance.

Columbia Art Center Grand Opening – ​Saturday, October 28, 2017 from 9:30 AM – 12 PM located at 1227 Taylor Street, Suite C Columbia, SC 29201. The City of Columbia Parks and Recreation Department will host a grand opening ceremony for the new Columbia Art Center on Saturday, October 28 at 9:30 a.m. The new 5,000-square-foot center, located in the Cannon Garage, includes classroom space, a glaze room, clay room, office space and gallery. The event will feature a ribbon cutting followed by an open house that will include art demos, tours of the new facility and light refreshments.
