SC NAACP Freedom Fund Celebration 2017 – Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Medallion Conference Center located at 7309 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, SC. The South Carolina State Conference of the NAACP will hold the 2017 Freedom Fund Celebration Friday, June 23, 2017 at the Medallion Conference Center located at 7309 Garners Ferry Road in Columbia, SC. Rev. Amos C. Brown, Senior Pastor of Third Baptist Church in San Francisco, CA will deliver the keynote address.  Special honors will be presented to the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), folk singer Joan Baez, the Southern Christian Leadership Conference, Mildred Gaddis, noted media personality of Detroit, MI, and Curtis Frye, head coach for the University of South Carolina Track and Field teams.  The venue will open at 5:45 PM with dinner scheduled at 6:30 PM.
