A Texas woman said she felt like she had been “raped” following what she called an invasive roadside strip search by two Harris County deputies.
Charnesia Corley, 23, filed a lawsuit against the Harris County Sheriff’s Office after a June 2015 traffic stop, which ended with two female deputies pinning Corley to the ground and allegedly performing a body cavity search.
“They’re supposed to protect you,” she told KPRC. “They’re supposed to keep you safe, not rape you. That’s how I feel. I feel like I was raped.”
In her suit, Corley said her constitutional rights were violated by the deputies conducting the roadside search.
