(Columbia, SC) – Monday, August 5, 2024 – The Columbia SC Branch NAACP is proud to announce the “WOMEN, On Fire for Justice, On Fire for Peace” rally, a powerful event dedicated to championing justice and peace through the united voices of women. The rally will take place on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at Martin Luther King Park 2300 Green St., beginning at 5:00 pm.
This rally is a call to action for women of all backgrounds to come together in solidarity to advocate for social justice, equity, voting rights, and peace. It serves as a platform to amplify the voices of women who are leading the charge in their communities, standing up against injustice, and fostering a world where peace prevails. This is an effort to educate, encourage, empower and rejuvenate the power of the vote.
Calling all MEN—your support matters. All men, you are the strength that women need to carry forth the quest for our rights! We believe that together we can make the change. Note that “Change will not Change until we Change it. Let’s turn out the VOTE. IT IS OURS TO DO.
