Columbia, SC – The Columbia Police Department Community Services Bureau and Columbia Parks & Recreation are both excited to host a Youth Service Provider Summer Resource Fair, a free, family-friendly event focused on connecting families to local programs that offer enriching summer opportunities for youth. Over the past year, we’ve been meeting and aligning services—now it’s time to join forces and bring those resources directly to the community.
Set to take place at Greenview Park on May 19th at 4pm – 8pm, the resource fair will feature a wide range of youth-focused organizations and vendors offering everything from academic enrichment and mentorship programs to sports, arts, and mental health services. Families will be able to meet one-on-one with service providers, learn more about program registration, and get plugged into resources that promote positive youth development. Youth will have the chance to dive into hands-on activities while discovering all the exciting summer camp options offered by Parks & Recreation.
This is more than just a resource fair—it’s a chance for our community to come together and create a network of support for our youth. The goal is to provide direct services to our youth because we want every young person to have a safe, engaging, and meaningful summer, and this event is designed to make that possible.
In addition to information booths, the fair will include fun activities for children and food for the family to enjoy.
