(Columbia, SC) – Tanesha Bannister owner of  Demi Dior Closet, a local store targeting female consumers ages 18 to 40 is having a Spring into Summer Sale on Saturday, April 29th, noon to 7 pm. The entire store of the latest fashion and accessories will be priced at $40.00 and below. Don’t miss these great bargains at Demi Dior Closet, located at 3545 Beltline Road, Suite C in Columbia. The sale will include a live remote with Hot 103.9  and 93.9 as well as door prizes and refreshments.

This sale is another milestone for Bannister since being freed from a life prison sentence four years ago following Congress’ enactment of the First Step Act. That law retroactively equalized sentences for drug offenses of crack and cocaine, allowing hundreds like Bannister to be paroled. Since returning home, Bannister has been assisted by various programs offered by DESA, Inc., particularly its Reemerge Project, which is working to have her record expunged and her full citizenship rights restored. The Reemerge Project is funded through a grant from the US Department of Commerce, Minority Business Development Agency.

As an entrepreneur, Bannister is meeting demand in the community, providing jobs, and investing in herself and the community.  Her store’s continued progress since its launch in 2020 gained her an inaugural incentive award from the Joseph Outreach Foundation, which Bannister invested to stage this April 29th sale event.  The public is invited to come out and support this minority female-owned firm.
