SCCMA Celebrates Small Business Week with Educational Webinars

In recognition of National Small Business Week, the South Carolina Commission for Minority Affairs partnered with the SBA (Small Business Administration) South Carolina District Office to host two educational webinars designed to help small business owners connect to opportunities with the U.S. government.

National Small Business Week, which kicks off Monday, September 13, will celebrate the resiliency of small businesses owners and entrepreneurs. Small business owners are encouraged to participate in the following webinars:

Tuesday, September 14 at 10 a.m.

How to Do Business with the Federal Government

What can the SBA do for you? Join Angela Brewer, Business Opportunity Specialist with the SBA South Carolina District Office, for a discussion on how to gain access to capital, contracting, available resources and counseling.

Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10 a.m.

Contracting 101

Get the information you need to know about how to do business with the world’s biggest customer–the U.S. government. Plus, learn about the SBA’s small business contracting programs, including the 8(a) Program for socially and economically disadvantaged business owners, Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB) Program, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) Program, and many more! This webinar will be led by SBA South Carolina District Office’s Deputy District Director Michael Corp.
